This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great bargain!
I had heard about inexpensive quad-HD monitors making their way into the US market, but I don't have much trust in that big online auction web site that shall remain nameless.. so when I saw one being sold through Amazon, I was pretty excited. So, here's my thoughts:
-The shipping was a little weird. Amazon seemed to think the monitor was going to arrive after only 3 days, but in reality it to about a week and a half. Whatever the shipment method was, the tracking options were quite limited, so I was a little worried, but it arrived fine in the end.
-The monitor did not come with a US power cord. However, it uses a standard IEC cable, which I happened to have with my old monitor, so no problems. The cord that came with mine is a European Schuko type.. No big deal.
-The build of the monitor is pretty nice, it tilts and swivels, but the thing is HUGE so I have discovered that my desk isn't as stable as I thought... Wobble wobble! Again, not a big deal.

2. Talk about Bang For Your Buck
I work as a video editor full time and stare at two 27" Apple Cinema Displays all day at work. I decided to upgrade my home monitor and didn't feel like spending APple money for I took a chance on one of these Catleaps. Like the other review mentioned, it doesn't come with a US PLug, but a replacement was easy to find on Amazon for 4 bucks. The monitor itself only has brightness controls but I can calibrate it enough on the computer end to make it work. My monitor came without any dead pixels, and the backlight is pretty uniform. Got shipped to me pretty quickly too!
Need more appointment... ?
Monitor died less than 6 months after purchase.
No warranty, no coverage of any type from manufacturer after 14 days. Not amazing for a $400 purchase. Would not buy again.
