1. Great Monitor
Another great Dell monitor. Came with a both a DVI and a mini display port to regular display port cable. The stand is also very nice and allows for easy adjustment of height and rotation. Works flawlessly with my late 2011 13" MacBook Pro. With this monitor I am easily able to work with two windows side-by-side (Check out Flexiglass on the Mac App Store for a good window management tool).

I purchased another Dell UltraSharp U2913WM to connect to a new 2013 MacBook Air 13". Once I connected the monitor I noticed it looked terrible. Everything on the screen looked blurry and the colors were washed out. It turns out that some new Macs have problems with certain external monitors. Instead of sending an RBG signal to the monitor it sends a YCbCr one. 2. Great Multi-tasking monitor and Alternative Multi-Screen setup
This particular monitor is suited for a couple types of people.
The first type of person is the multi-tasker. Its very easy to modify the screen setup to display any number of windows with the included screen application.
Just pick you preference, One, two or up to six segmented screens. Simple and productive, particularly for reading two pages of text, multiple spreadsheets or two browser windows side by side.
The second type of person is the for the widescreen gamer / movie watcher or someone that does not have the desk real estate for multiple monitors.
This is viable alternative to having two screens side by side with no bezel in the middle.
The added advantage is with the vertical pixel reduction to 1080 over a 30 inch monitor running at 2560X1600 resolution is higher frame rates and lower overall graphics card requirements, but are still getting the extra wide view.

Just what I needed
As I type this, I am using the Picture-By-Picture feature on the monitor to watch TV while browsing. This monitor works great for that. I used to use the same option all the time on my 2405FPW before I wore out the PBP and input buttons on first the original and the replacement.
When the buttons on my second 2405fpw stopped working, I didn't have money for a new IPS panel so I just bought a cheaper TN panel. The main things I missed were picture quality and the PBP feature. That monitor (I-INC 28") died a few months ago so I did some looking around.
I loved my 2405FPW, and had a good experience when getting Dell to replace the original under warranty. So I wanted to go back to having one of their IPS monitors. I saw this monitor on sale and thought the extra wide screen and the PBP feature would be perfect for the way I multitask. PBP when I need it, and a seamless extra wide screen when I don't unlike what would happen with a dual monitor setup...
