I travel full time and do extensive development work while on the road. Anyone that's used two or more monitors knows how much more productive it is to do so. I've searched for years for a second monitor that I can carry along wherever I go and, finally, I came across the MMT2. I've been using it daily for almost a year now with my MBP retina. While it isn't quite as bright as the retina display it is definitely bright and sharp. I use it in 1080p mode which offers up extra display real estate at the cost of some brightness but that is my preference.
I've had occasion to use it with my iPad as well and it literally turns the iPad into a completely different device. My primary use is as second laptop display though. I connect via HDMI using a 24 inch cable. It works flawlessly.
Wishes??? There is always a wish for something more, but these are just convenience features: a battery pack that fits into the iPad slot would be awesome and would allow me to use it in...

We have purchased dozens of these portable monitors (3 different models) for use by our accounting staff when they head out into the field. Exceptional quality and the image is fantastic.
The very few problems we've had were taken care of immediately. I've personally spoken with the CEO to sort out an order... he was very approachable and willing to listen to additional ideas.
GREAT company to deal with!
The only real complaint we have is they are just too damn popular in the accounting world, which sometimes delays shipping (not often, but has happened in the past). From the seller's perspective that's a great "problem" to have.
