  • MODEL NUMBER:665GL-70NP/H/Y

  • Resolution 1024×600 native, up to 1920×1080
  • Brightness (cd/m²) 450
  • Aspect Ratio 16:9

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. It's a gamble (but a pretty darn good one)
First of all, there are like 1,000 different models and combinations of features for these monitors on Amazon, so be sure to READ THE DESCRIPTION for the particular model you are buying VERY CAREFULLY (so you can argue with confidence when you need to return the item you received because it's not what you thought you were getting). They are ALL called Lilliput 665gl-70np, but they don't all have the same features (not just accessories, but actual hard-wired, on board, hardware features)! I can't state any clearer: even if you read carefully, you may not receive what you think you should be getting (read on).

For instance, the model on THIS page has NO HDMI OUT. Yes, I went back and carefully read the block of text, and now see that although it looks exactly like the block of description text on all the other models "HDMI out" is absent. I thought I was paying very close attention to all the small print, but here I am two days before the shoot with a monitor that doesn't...

2. Works good.
Works good for video on a T3i and 60D (both of these models output to 480 while recording), but it switches between resolutions just fine and it also has an option to force it at 480 if you don't want it to switch between 1080 and 480 during on/off recording. Works really good on a Sony A33 as well, abit a little top heavy because the A33 has a really small body. Everything was included from Viviteq (batt, charger, screen, visor, hot shoe mount, a/c adapter, etc), it's the complete package!

Great for a video monitor
I shoot short documentaries and this external monitor has worked great to provide a larger view. My older eyes can now more easily fine tune focus and frame shots.

1. ...Absolutely Awesome! :)
Philips Brilliance 298P4QJEB 29-Inch Screen LCD Monitor

Multiview enables active dual connect so you can work with multiple devices like PC and Notebook side-by-side simultaneously, making complex multi-tasking work a breeze. --from the user manual

Sleek, modern, thin, and trimmed in 2 colors that go with most any decor: black and brushed silver. The Philips Brilliance 298P4QJEB 29-Inch Screen LCD Monitor is Impressive right out of the box! Feels weighty and looks well made. The shipping weight, of the package, is 26.2 lbs., so if one is not used to lifting so much weight (at one time) -- might need a little help. In the box: Philips Brilliance 298P4QJEB 29-Inch Screen LCD Monitor, 2 piece stand, Power Cable, Audio Cable, DP Cable (optional), Dual Link DVI Cable, a Warranty statement, Quick Start Guide and a CD that has various things on it to enhance your monitor experience like drivers, user manual, desktop software etc.

Ease of assembly and setup:...

2. Beautiful way to upgrade a dual display set-up into a single screen
I have always loved having dual monitors and feel that they greatly enhance my productivity. When shopping for a replacement for my two 24 inch screens, I started to wonder if their might be a better way to accomplish the higher real estate that I wanted without having so much equipment cluttering my desk. This 29-inch very wide form factor screen is just the sort of solution I was looking for. I can still work side-by-side, but without actually needing two monitors on my desk. It works even better than two separate screens, largely because of the Windows 7 and Windows 8 feature that lets you automatically arrange your windows.

This 29" display by Phillips looks great and is very well made. If you try it out, I don't think that you'll be disappointed. Be forewarned that Display Port cables are pretty tricky to find. With HDMI, I couldn't get full resolution out of my laptop, so I had to go pay way too much for a DP cable at Fry's electronics. You can save yourself that cost...

Big, beautiful, feature-rich, but byzantine settings buttons
I acquired this monitor to replace a 17" HP display that has been quite serviceable. The difference between this one and that one is quite enormous however. Besides the obvious qualitative difference in pixel depth and picture quality (as well as screen real estate), this display has an enormous amount of flexibility. I worked with it using several different input methods and OS versions.

The first thing I did was connect the display to my husband's year-old Acer laptop using HDMI using a cable that I purchased from Amazon prior to receiving the display (there are several cables, but no HDMI). This allowed the sound to travel along with the picture to the display, which is quite handy. However, even with the volume turned up to the highest level, it was too low for some of our video files. I'm sure this was an issue with the files, but it is worth noting in case other users are counting on a high-powered speaker within the monitor to overcome any volume short-comings. Also,...

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Don't attempt to rationalize - Trust your instincts
In all likelihood, you are reading this review with two separate goals in mind. First, you want to make sure that nothing is horribly wrong with the lyrically-beautiful, breathtakingly-enormous 30-inch Cinema Display. After all, it is only natural to worry that its intoxicating attractiveness is counterpoised by some hidden, yet devastating, flaw. Well, you can breathe a sigh of relief: it is flawless. Indeed, it represents the very essence of perfection in both function and form.

Second, you are reading this review in a desperate attempt to find some way to justify the purchase of a 30-inch Cinema Display. Perhaps you need to justify it to your thrifty spouse, and are trying to find a reasonable answer to that inevitable question, "but why do you NEED a 30-inch monitor?" Or perhaps you must justify the purchase to an emotionless manager, who is unable to appreciate the aesthetic beauty of this gargantuan monitor. Fortunately, previous reviewers have outlined a number of...

It takes a little getting used to...
I've had mine for a few weeks now, and it's a great monitor. It's just amazing to be able to open up 100+ thumbnails on the screen at once, and still be able to see what each one is. Games look fantastic on it , though not all support the native resolution. The dual firewire and USB ports on the monitor are very handy, too.

There are a few quirks, due to the sheer size of the thing:

It *just barely* fits under the overhead storage hutch on my computer desk. Measure carefully before you buy any furniture that you intend to put one of these displays on.

Neck strain is a definite possibility if your chair and/or desk don't adjust far enough. The top of this monitor is a lot higher than the typical 20 inch or so monitor, and the stand is pretty tall, too.

It's possible to "lose" things off towards the sides of the screen. While the (relatively low) pixel pitch means that a dialog box is the same size as it would be on a smaller Apple monitor, it...

1. Awsome!
well, I was considering an Overlord, so I could overclock to 120hz. they only have A- panels now, and they cost 150+ more. and they are sold out. this baby came perfect, just like it is supposed to. I cranked her up to 120hz..... games are amazing..... gunna try out blacktops 2, metro at 120hz shreds your system!!!!

2. Great Monitor For The Price!
As title states a great monitor for price. Uses Samsung Panel that was not deemed A+ 'perfect' for their pricy products. As this monitor is "pixel perfect" it should not have any defects though it may have some as the pictures besides the photo of the monitor states (VERY important to look at each one of those photos). Backlight bleeding may also occur. Mine did not have any defects at all. Product shipped quickly (Monday morning) and arrived on Wednesday afternoon. Amazing honestly considering it shipped from Korea to Alaska then to Memphis then to Marion, IL then to my home (about 30 miles from Marion). Was very well packed with no damage of box. Easy to put together, just screw stand to bottom of monitor. To be honest the stand is very wobbly so if you bump your table a lot or have rouge pets running around then you might want to consider getting a wall mount or another stand.

On to the good stuff! I bought this monitor because I am a gamer and like everything to look as...

1440p Qnix 27" gloss
Jumped on this monitor because of the ridiculously good reviews it had, at only $350 for guaranteed pixel perfection ($300 w/o). My monitor did not have a single dead pixel or any cosmetic damages whatsoever, came with everything it said it would and has more than met my expectations. Once you go 1440p you can't go back for most things, I am keeping my 24" TN panel for the better response times/performance in certain games, but this display is now my main for the most part. Colors are great in comparison to my old Asus, expected with IPS monitors, but still.

Some noteworthy things:

1. Expedited shipping was free just the same as standard shipping, I chose expedited of course, and this monitor got here in two and half business days all the way from South Korea.

2. In reviews I saw, the monitor was packaged VERY well in thick bubble wrap and everything, this was NOT the case with mine, it was ONLY the monitor box and it had a huge hole, like the width...

1. Love it!
I bought this monitor for my son who is 13. He is highly knowledgable about computers and has been wanting this one for months. He LOVES it.

2. Beware of HP monitors
Buyer beware of any HP monitor, as internet search/review will reveal. After 13 months, just out of warranty in July 2013, my monitor broke, developing vertical colored lines, which is a non-fixable screen defect. In reviewing other online comments, I now see this is a common problem with HP monitors. Shame on them for sticking the consumer with these defective products. Bottom line: Unreliable; shoddy manufacture; don't throw away your money on something that will be useless in 13 months when it's out of warranty.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Bargain priced pro graphics monitor
I've been very happy with this monitor, especially considering the price. I use it mainly for high resolution photo editing, typically uncompressed 24MP images. 4000 vertical and 6000 horizontal pixels on a 27" 16:9 ratio display require a resolution of about 300 DPI, which is well under the native resolution of the display. So you look at accuracy of color reproduction, brightness, contrast ratio etc. This monitor does well in all those areas. The on screen menus allow fine tuning of contrast, brightness, gamma, color temperature, and RGB settings. Probably the $600 to $1000 monitors that are marketed as professional graphics devices are slightly better, but the AOC is one half to one third the cost. Aside from high resolution graphics work, you would be very happy with this monitor for gaming, and internet graphics would be way under the capabilities of the device. The IPS panel really does improve the visibility at extreme viewing angles, which is nice when you need it...

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great Display and Beautiful Design
The design of this monitor is unlike any I have seen to date. I absolutely fell in love with it the moment I saw the press release when it was announced. I'm not a white color person but prefer the black for my electronics (minus my mac pro being silver).

Monitors are a dime a dozen these days, I've owned about 3 different 20-22" monitors in the last year. Of course these were bargain bin monitors and in turn the designs were generic and the sound output horrible and image quality average but only cost about $100-$120. In life, you get what you pay for. My first 24" monitor was a Dell and it cost me over $700 but lasted me over 6 years. So yes, this is not a cheap monitor for what you can buy, but the design is unlike any other monitor you can buy too.

USAGE:
I have mine hooked up to my Mac Pro (HDMI1), Samsung Galaxy Nexus Desktop Dock (HDMI2/MHL) and VGA used for connecting PC's i fix/work on. I mainly use my Mac for surfing the web, basic photo...

2. Speakers produced low background noise without being able turn off; returned the unit; ordered a second one, same problem

Chic But Not Without a Quirk
It's unique appearance caught my attention and it does not disappoint while being the centerpiece of my desk. The placement of the ports are ideal and easy to reach. The stereo speakers are a welcome addition for those looking to free up space on their desk. Though I personally prefer my own set of Bose speakers.

It's one minor quirk is if you're not actively using the speakers, you will hear static emanating from it. But it isn't present when using headphones or if the volume is set to 0. If you use external speakers like I do, then it isn't an issue.

1. crystal clear, full screen display for canon 7D and Vixia HF G10
Although there were some minor problems with this monitor, (read on) I was able to get a crystal clear, superb image that filled the screen on BOTH my canon 7D and my Canon Vixia HF G10 camcorder. I ordered a Vello CB-500 Dual Shoe Bracket and Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm# Articulating Israeli Arm I am using this monitor on a separate bracket with articulating arm for my camcorder as well as the Canon 7D. 2. Have a few problems that need to be fixed
First off let me say when it's in HD mode, it's great. That's when it is.

I shoot with a GH2 so all of this info comes from that view point.

1. No matter what mode I put it in, full screen, 16/9, whatever, it cut off about 5% of the screen on the edges. Confirmed on my Marshall.
2. To get it to work in HD mode, you need to enable either histogram of exposure settings. Problem with this is that you can no longer control color temp in this mode. It's all locked up. So, if you want to adjust color temp to match what you are actually shooting (a little helpful) you need to switch back to SD mode which shifts the color temp. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention when you enable HD mode, you get one hell of a color temp shift in this bad boy! So you have to go back and forth, guessing what you're doing till you kinda get it right. Not very fun.

I contacted Lilliput directly and they asked me for an invoice number. I told them I bought it off of amazon and the...

Amazing little monitor
I'm using my Lilliput 5D-II monitor with my Panasonic Lumix GH-2 and just love this thing. Focus peaking works very well, 1:1 pixel mapping is great. The HD resolution is the best thing though. The picture is just so crisp and clear, it's so easy to judge your focus, even without the peaking. It definitely needs the sun hood during the day, but I fully knew that buying it when I saw it's brightness rating, and just about any monitor this size does. Just do be aware.

The build quality is very good. Has a real professional look and feel IMO. I use the Sony battery and it gives me a good 2 hours of use. Only complaint, and it's small, is the time it takes to bring the signal back up if I change camera modes. If I change between playback and camera mode it interrupts the HDMI signal and it takes a good 4 seconds to bring the image back up, but that's about the only annoyance I've found. Just a great product for a really great price!

LG Electronics EA53 24EA53V 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor

Cheap LG Electronics EA53 24EA53V 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor

The LG EA53 LED monitor features an IPS panel that keeps image colors consistent at virtually any angle. Plus, the EA53 is a Full HD monitor with 10M:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio that gives you incredibly vibrant colors.
  • IPS technology controls the liquid crystal display to help keep distortion at a minimum and allows users to view images on the screen at virtually any angle.^You won't believe your eyes. LG's LED technology delivers amazing brightness, clarity and color detail.^Get nearly double the pixel resolution of standard HD with Full HD 1080p Resolution.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Gorgeous screen, minimal options
Gorgeous image quality on this, with no noticable light bleed, even on a black screen. Text is razor sharp, and the blacks are so deep that initially I thought something was wrong with the monitor...I was just used to my old monitor's washed-out color.

That said, there are a couple surprising missteps. The stand, from other site reviews, is awful. I bought this BECAUSE it has VESA mount capability though, and I use that with a stand that allows height, pivot and swivel options (look up Flex LCD Stand). The other mistake is the orientation of the inputs. If a monitor is as slim as this, the connectors shouldn't then negate that benefit for wall-mounters by making the inputs perpendicular to the screen. they should face down. The stand I use holds the screen JUST far enough away from itself that this isn't an issue for me, but this is NOT a wall-mountable monitor without specialized cables (although admittedly, cables with 90 degree bends in the heads aren't terribly...

2. Excellent Monitor
No dead pixels, No weird thing going on with the graphics, excellent color. That is how I describe this monitor. I was originally going to get an 24 inch monitor by ASUS, and just happened to go with this monitor on a whim. My last monitor was slowly dying and it was an LG that lasted four years so, I figured "why not another one". I bought this monitor (24 inch model) from office depot since no one was selling it on amazon at the time. Well, it's been 2 days since and I don't regret buying it at all. Even though the ASUS monitor that I wanted had a smaller price tag, I was glad to pay the $223.00 (tax included) for this monitor.

I wear glasses and I also have a moderately deep desk that gets even deeper when you pull the keyboard tray out, and sit in front of it, so vision was always a problem for me even with my glasses on. However the first day I plugged this monitor in (using the HD im not sure if the monitor being sold here has this or not) I was shocked to realize...

I am currently using the Kanex iAdapt MDPHDMIV2 HDMI V2 - Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support adapter to connect to my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro laptop, which requires a mini-display/thunderbolt port. I like this monitor for the simple design. It has the ports that you need (e.g. HDMI, DVI, and VGA). It also has an audio out jack. The colors are nice and crisp with its 1080P resolution. Lastly, it's not very heavy and has a thin profile. Overall a great monitor.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Just purchased
I just got one of these, so I can't speak to the longevity, but it's a monitor. Visuals are awesome. For an IPS display, but a great price as well. I got mine from Micro Center, but since the only other review was one star, I'd thought I'd write this. I have had several HP monitors at work, and have had few issues with them.

2. HP Pavillion 25"
Just plugged in this monitor to replace my 19" Dell....its phenominal! Bright, crystal clarity, very low profile, super thin edges. My old Dell computer (2007)automatically fit the screen perfectly but it will be even clearer if you adjust the computer setting for the screen size (1920x1080)...this makes perfection.

Fantastic monitor for a great price!
Saw this at mircocenter and decided to give it a try. Liked it so much that I ordered another on Amazon.

It's a great monitor and it has some really nice features. I especially like the customziations one can do to adjust the screen to their liking and to set up different profiles to recall settings for different family members, or types of viewing (movies, gaming, reading, etc.). This was important because my wife doesn't like an overly bright screen because she does a lot of on-line reading.

HP could provide better instructions for configuring the settings but it's worth the time to figure it out. A really cool thing is to set up different application partitions, such as for automatically sizing and placing web pages across the screen.

Update the drivers you use from HPs site (it'll automatically detect 32-bit vs. 64-bit) and use the HP My Display utility for adjusting the settings to your liking.

1. Flawless
I've had this on pre-order and it finally showed up twelve hours ago. [Heck, I saw the UPS guy pick it up at the train yard across the street!] My system has been stress testing it the whole time with Blu-Ray DVD's movies as well as the usual graphics benchmarks. Extremely close examination reveals no dead pixels of any color (White, RGB, CYM if that's your preference), very accurate rendering of images/video whether file footage or benchmark, and no tearing. The speakers hold up well for normal use, but you'll want something serious if gaming and the like is your goal. I have it connected to an AMD W7000 workstation card via a Display Port 1.2 cable (my own). It does come with a DVI-D cable and that tested fine as well. So far, it's on my highly recommended list especially when priced against the competition. I think I'm in love. Think? I AM in love.

2. Get it!
I've been waiting for this kind of deal for quite awhile. No bad pixels, excellent picture, great price, resolution, etc!!! The only negative I can find so far is thickness and the button placement. The buttons face downwards and are placed further back than makes sense. I don't use the buttons too often so still 5 stars.

Unbelievable picture quality and color.
I had the monitor delivered today and I've been glued to it for a few hours. I am *really* impressed with it. The colors of the IPS panel are fantastic! I do have an excellent Samsung Samsung S27a750d 120hz TN panel, and the colors blow that away. I would say it has a slightly warm tint to it out of the box, but it's just fine. Everything is super sharp, and it's not obnoxiously over-saturated.

I would say this was a huge step up from my 27" Samsung 1080p. The extra screen space mixed with the much higher resolution is a win. I can't see any dead pixels.

The thing I was most worried about was the response time and 60hz limit. Coming from a 120 hz Samsung, I can say that I did notice it a little bit in games and 2d. After a couple of hours, it's not even an issue. The pros far outweigh the cons. I played some MechWarrior Online and BF3 and I didn't notice any lag from the 7ms response time (my samsung has a 2ms I believe).

The colors popping in the...

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. 7-10 dead pixels, right of center screen within 36 hours of receiving monitor
Can't say I am satisfied after paying more money for a perfect pixel monitor only to have 7-10 pixels in a tight cluster go permanent white. Right off the bat the seller, EcoMade Areana, accused me of scratching it! I had to take a video of the pixels lighting up and turning off along with the monitor.
If the monitor indeed had no pixel defects I would give it 3 stars. The power button is so flimsy that you have to press it on average 2-4 times for it to turn on or off. For a New $400 monitor I expect it to work, and for a monitor described as pixel perfect, I expect no stuck white pixels, and defintely not a cluster of them.

2. Love it.
Shipped from Korea in two days.

No dead/stuck pixels at all. Slight back light bleed (Fixable though google it)

Only con i can think of is you cant use a xbox/ Cable Tv on it.

Managed to hit 120hz without changing the stock cable / Auto timing. Very happy with it.

QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution ll 27" 27 inch 2560x1440 Samsung PLS
Read the reviews over and over from different sources.. Eventually decided to purchase.. Today I'm a happy camper.
Thing I checked for:
1) Dead pixels..Found none
2)Back-light bleed....None that I could determine..My previous 24" monitor (brand withheld) when placed side by side with this 27" in a darkened room makes the QNIX look like a black void (I kid you not)
3)Colors..... Love the richness.
4)Connectors.....I knew it only had DVI no problem.
5)Response time and resolution Played Crysis 3 on ultra settings no discernible lag.(nvidia gtx 770)

It would be easy for me to purchase 2 more similar monitors for a tri-setup.
I don't know if my purchase was a fluke but I'm satisfied with it.

GET MORE SPACE. DO MORE WITH IT. Studies have shown that using multiple monitors increases productivity by 20-50% - so it's no wonder that millions of people have adopted multiple monitors, and that most find it much harder to function without them. This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Fantastic portable monitor for anyone looking for a little more screen real-estate
I'm not a road-warrior by any means but I do travel a lot (probably 2 or 3 times a month). The problem is that I'm used to having 3 screens on my desk which you really get used to. So when I travel with just my Mac Book Pro it's really limiting when I want multiple applications open (and visible). I'd heard about the Cinq from a friend and thought "this might be the perfect solution". I mean I could always return it, right? So I bought it. I was a little skeptical at first about attaching anything to the lid of my laptop but it was easy and easily removable. The best part was that the monitor connected super easy. I literally took it out of the case that it comes with (nice, hardshell case that I'm not worried will get crushed in my backpack), plugged in the USB, and blamo, monitor connected (just went into Display Preferences and shifted the arrangement). My only dig is that orange USB. Get rid of that. The resolution is great and the screen is crisp. Of course as a big movie...

2. Awesome Product for multitasking
Awesome product, and even better customer service!!! I am a network engineer, and I couldn't imagine not having one of these since I received this!

  • Industry-standard DVI connector

  • 2-port USB 2.0 hub, 2 FireWire 400 ports

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Choosing the Apple Cinema 23 HD Above All Else
I've been looking for a new WUXGA monitor for the last month, and I've conducted a lot of research. I narrowed down my choice to these monitors: Dell 2405FPW, Samsung 244T, ViewSonic VP2330wb, HP L2335, and Sony SDM-P234/B.

I will be using the monitor for coding, illustration, and DVD playback, in that order of importance. Prolonged periods of looking at text must be easy on the eyes. It also has to have natural colors with no casts or artifacts and a reasonable response time.

Two of these monitors are 24" and their panels are made by Samsung, the 2405FPW and the 244T. The others are 23" and their panels are made by LG-Philips.

The Dell 2405FPW was ruled out because, even though it's the cheapest by a big margin, it has a notorious high-pitch squeal problem that Dell doesn't acknowledge or address and people are still getting squealers to this day. This would surely drive me crazy. In addition, I don't like the shiny Dell logo at the front bezel, and...

2. Buyer beware...
I am having color problems with this monitor; it has a pinkish haze and the left side of the screen is washed out about an inch. It was OK the first day I had it, but the problems showed up after a day or two of use. Re-calibrating the monitor does help -- but does not eliminate -- the pinkish haze, and the washed-out part is there no matter what.

There are many posts on the Apple Support boards about others with the same problem. You may want to consider this, and hopefully Apple will adknowledge a design flaw in these models soon.

Need more appointment... ?
Couldn't ask for a better display.
This was a no-brainer. The monitor arrived on time, and it took longer to unpack it than it did to plug it in to my G5 tower, turn it on, and be up and running. Literally plug-and-play perfection! The quality of images on the screen is as advertised. It would be hard to find a better high-quality monitor for color-critical graphics work.

The only tweaking I did was to create a color profile with a Spyder 2.

[sidebar:] This 23" Cinema HD Display replaces an excellent 21" Sony GDM-F500 CRT with no regrets; no looking back.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Fabulous!
The 29EA93 is working perfectly here, with an eye-popping, bright, sharp display.

So far I've mostly used it for PC display, not much movie watching or gaming.

Bought on Feb. 17, 2013.

The monitor is very lightweight compared to my reliable old stand-by, the Samsung 240t. [not surprising]

The packaging and shipment were amazing, it looked like a bright, colorful birthday present, with a handle on the box, completely wrapped in plastic, directly from S. Korea, got to here [N.J.] in only three days after order placement. Fed-ex did very well for me again, as usual. Shipping/handling was $12.99. (!)

I wish they would get the DCC ["Display Data Channel"] computer communications working . . . the capacitive-touch menus are rather tedious/jumping-through-hoops to switch the PIP and other stuff. Well, few other manufacturers seem to be interested in it. LG just needs to provide the DDC computer app., evidently the monitor is capable of...

2. Fantastic Monitor if your computer is up to snuff
I am running this monitor from my MacBook Air and it is fantastic. You WILL need the "Dual DVI" adapter from your Thunderbolt port. HDMI.1 is limited to 1980 resolution - so you will never get full screen from HDMI from any computer.

The Smartphone interface option is cute, but most smart phones are not that high resolution, or horizontal orientation.

The stand is not adjustable, It should not be IMO. The monitor is very light and ULTRA! wide and would likely tip over if not well centered over its base. I would recommend a monitor arm - which this does support via the attachment points on the back of the monitor (many new monitors no longer come with the rear mount attachment points)

No dead pixels, color depth is fantastic, its very, very bright, so much so at night, I would like to turn it down more than adjustments allow.

A great buy and cost competitive with buying 26"+ dual monitors with similar specs.

PS: This monitor makes...

1. A whole new world!!!
I'm sorry I can't say that much about this monitor besides I'm happy with it because I haven't compared it with other 3d monitors out there, but I wanted to talk more about 3D gaming. I've had this monitor (Viewsonic V3D231) for two weeks now and all I have to say is that 3D gaming is one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed in my life. After installing the Tridef 3d software (include with the monitor) I started playing the games I have. I started up my tridef with crysis and WOW, but little did I know that there are shadow problems with that game in 3d mode. From there I went on to Battlefield bad company 2 and this was the game that blew me away, I must have played the single player campaign half a dozen times but It felt like an entirely different experience in 3D, It actually made me feel that I was there along with Sweetwater, There is nothing like watching a rpg coming right at you. The next game I played was Mass Effect 2, Ok I'm going to say this "you haven't...

2. LED greatness!!!
I ordered this item, off because I wanted a new LED monitor with HDMI to use with my pc and game consoles. Add in the 3D capability and I was sold instantly. The color, contrast, size(upgrade from 19 inch) and in full 1080p greatness!! 2D display quality is amazing! Far better than the standard HP monitor I was using. 3D display looks great as well, slight ghosting in some cases. Seems to work much better with the included TriDef software on the PC than playing games in 3D on PS3, which there is a noticeable loss in quality. Not a fault of the display, something that is necessary for the PS3 to push out 3D video. Overall great item, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great monitor and the occasional 3D fun.

Youtube 3d right out of box on Mac! But base is wobbly
I'm able to watch yt3d on youtube right out of the box on my Macbook Pro with this, using an HDMI cable & adapter that I already own (mine didn't come with an HDMI cable in the package, only DVI and XGA cables).

Pretty impressive for a monitor under $250! I'm really excited to do some 3-D video and photo work right in my own home. Just picked up a Fuji W3; plan to borrow a friend's Go Pro Hero 3-D camera setup regularly.

Only real drawback so far here is the base. The monitor is a little heavy for it, and wobbles noticeably on my wheeled desk and creaky floor. I suppose a little give could be a good thing; better to bend than to snap, right? But the amount of movement I see on mine bugs me, especially since I live in a place that has earthquakes. Also the footprint (about 9.5" max width, 7.5" max depth, in kind of a shield or diamond shape) is bigger than I'd like on my 3-monitor desk.

I'd recommend picking up a cheap VESA mount type base to...

Viewsonic VG2732M-LED 27-Inch Ergonomic LED Backlit Monitor (Black)

Buy Viewsonic VG2732M-LED 27-Inch Ergonomic LED Backlit Monitor (Black)

The VG2732m-LED is one of ViewSonic's latest 27" models. It's 27" (27.0" Vis) display with a native 1920x1080 resolution is big enough to replace most dual-monitor setups. What makes it even more appealing is the LED backlight for up to 50% energy savings. Monitor is also fully ergonomic with 90° pivot, height adjust, swivel and tilt. The slim bezel design coupled with hidden stereo speakers make VG2732m-LED a space saver. You can put it on your desk or mount on your wall or on any VESA complia...

  • 20,000,000:1 MEGA contrast ratio
  • Pivot, height adjust, tilt and swivel functions, 4-port USB hub for easy connectivity
  • Energy Star and EPEAT Silver certified, VESA mountable design

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Nice, but Prefer the 24"
I wanted to share my experience after having purchased both this monitor and the Viewsonic VG2436WM-LED 24" from Amazon. When I got the 24" it was love at first sight! So nice ; And maybe it's because that unit arrived first, but when I received this one I was not as impressed. Why? This 27" feels gangly and the image is not as "crisp".

Although only 3" larger, this monitor is a beast. It shakes and wobbles under it's own weight when making height or screen adjustments. The footprint is round compared to the more square-ish base of the 24", so no real difference there. On the other hand, this monitor is at least 50% thicker across the entire back, all the way to the edges. Conversely, the 24" is quite thin and only thickens in back where the stand attaches. Suffices to say the 27" looks imposing when sitting on my desktop.

The image quality of this monitor is nice. However, it's...

2. Excellent product in value and price
This monitor is a beast...in a good way. I replaced a Dell 24' Ultrasharp (which is one of the higher end Dell monitors) because of terrible vertical lines that appeared running through the screens. I wanted to make sure that I had built-in speakers as well as USB ports available on the monitor. After much research, it came down to the Viewsonic at around $400 or another Dell Ultrasharp at $900+. I opted for the Viewsonic because I was very disappointed in the Ultrasharp quality (even though I'm a long time Dell customer). This is the first Viewsonic product I've purchases and so far very pleased.
-Setup was simple, all cables are included, and plug and play worked without any issues. I had to manually reset display to 1920x1080 through control panel/display.
-Picture is beautiful: clean crisp, brilliant colors.
-Control buttons are a little annoying in the way they are positioned on the monitor, but just need a good light in front of you to see it. They are easy to...

Good, but viewing angle was disappointing
I had this monitor for about two weeks before returning it. I had absolutely no problems until I started playing Skyrim and the top corners of the screen were just too dark. The stand doesn't tilt to face down, which is where I sit relative to the monitor. This display seems to be optimal when your eyes are slightly above its center line.

I have since ordered the Dell U2412M. It's an IPS panel and has a more adjustable stand which should hopefully solve my issues.

Other than that:
- Easy to set up.
- Easy to calibrate once you get the rhythm of the buttons.
- Speakers were surprisingly good for built-ins, but I was disappointed that there was no "mute" button.
- Stand was pretty good, except for not tilting down. It's a lot more substantial than most LED tv/monitor stands these days.
- Power indicator light was very discreet, unlike my old ViewSonic which I had to put tape over. Blue LEDs are just plain evil.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Fantastic touch screen and stand
I am only moderately computer savvy.
I compared this to the Acer 23 inch touchscreen monitor.
The Dell costs more but there are advantages over the Acer...

* integrated web cam (for Skype, etc)
* integrated microphone and speaker
* USB 3 ports in the display stand (for attaching mouse, keyboard, etc)
* the versatility of the stand itself (it lies flat, or rotates to almost any angle and height you want).

This is a great monitor. Win 8 works seamlessly and gestures are very fast.
All these Win 8 Metro apps -- Netflix, Hulu Plus, Video, Music, Camera, Maps, NBC News -- work and work well.

One word of advice...this monitor comes with DisplayLink software (two kinds: graphics software and core software). DO NOT install these.

It will mess up Windows 8 and cause you great frustration.

Just plug in the monitor via HDMI, plug in the USB 3 cable, the power cable and start using it.
If Displaylink...

2. Solid and Innovative
I'm quite satisfied with the performance of my S2340T both as a touch screen, and as a monitor generally. The monitor has a glossy, bright screen that's been easy on my eyes.
Setup was simple, and complete in two minutes: remove screen from packaging, plug in power cord to wall and to monitor base, connect USB 3 cable to monitor base and to computer, and connect HDMI cable to monitor base and to computer. In Windows 8, the monitor functioned immediately as a touch screen; no setup required, no drivers downloaded.
I'm pleased that Dell has brought this product to market. It's innovative in that the monitor is one of only a handful to support Windows 8 multi-touch features, while performing admirably in terms of monitor fundamentals.

Everyone calm down....It is the right item now.
I recently bought this monitor from Amazon (the vernal.tech seller) and it arrived promptly, safely packaged and 100% the correct item. There have been a lot of negative reviews about people receiving the wrong display. That is a really unfortunate and I am sure super annoying issue, but it isn't really fair to this display to trash it because a seller made a mistake in shipping.

I have been using it with a Windows 8 PC and I have really been enjoying the experience. This display has no edge on the bezel which makes the varying swipe gestures work really well on Windows 8.

I have had one minor issue that I can't determine if it was a fault of the computer or display where Windows 8 stops registering that it is touch input and so the touch keyboard stops automatically popping up when you touch text fields. This issue is promptly resolved by a restart, so I have to see what triggers it from stopping working, too early to blame anything yet.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great monitor if you don't need wide viewing angles
I wanted to use a large monitor for my computer and initially purchased a Panasonic TC-L32S1 32 inch IPS lcd tv for this purpose based on recommendations out on the web. That TV was way to large to properly read documents and browse the web, no matter how fun it might have been to use for games. The pixel pitch is very important and sitting at a distance of 3 feet from a 32 inch tv does not work, as the pixels seem way to big. I wanted to find a better option that was a little smaller and this 27 inch monitor seems to be the perfect size. I sit about 2 feet away from it and even though it is considerably smaller than the 32 inch tv, it still feels MUCH larger than the 23 inch samsung monitor I also own.

I've been using this monitor for a week now and have noticed the following:

The native resolution is NOT too small for this size of screen. Some people complain that 1920 x 1080 is too little of a resolution for anything over a 23/24 inch monitor. I also use a...

2. Excellent color, great contrast, and great response time, but has severe Sharpness issue
This monitor has very high brightness, excellent static contrast, good black levels and low bleed (once you turn down the backlight), and excellent color rendition and saturation, thanks in part to the glossy display (less transmission loss and light scattering versus a textured/matte display). Luckily, not one dead, hot, or stuck pixel on this enormous display. HP claims a 92% NTSC gamut, and it really shows - not many other consumer LCD's in this price range can claim the same. Viewing angles are surprisingly good for a TN panel, and response time is fast even with OverDrive disabled (which it is by default, and for good reason - see below). Monitor looks brilliant, incorporating a relatively thin glossy black bezel and a minimalistic matte silver stand. While the stand may look small, it is quite robust and holds the monitor steady, and also provides tilt and pivot adjustments. Has an ambient light sensor as well, but I leave it disabled. Also has high dynamic contrast, but I don't...

All in the Details
I just bought this monitor yesterday and I have to say I am very pleased. It is replacing my Samsung T260HD 26" LCD Monitor. This monitor produces such rich colors and is so bright. HP is one of the few Company's to use the Bezel lamp in its monitors to give it the glossed over look, which as a gamer, I love. This monitor is perfect. This monitor is by far the best on the market. It is a match for my t260hd. The hdmi is great for anything on line, reading, graphics, and cad. The only improvement I can see is only one hdmi. It really needs two. But I knew that before I purchased it. However, an hdmi switcher took care of that 'problem'. And nflix is even better to watch regardless of a compressed signal and 720p. If anyone complains about this unit, they're full of malarkey. Get it!!! Great picture quality. Comes with all the necessary cables. Running the monitor longer than 14 hours a day and no problems to report. Excellent Product.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Buy it now before the sellers regain consciousness.
I have always been a user of the typical TN panel ranging from all types of sizes. My previous display was an Asus model which had a very fast refresh rate of 2ms alongside unnoticeable input lag. I did find myself trying to calibrate the monitor to look at least nearly as good as my Samsung HDTV, but that was impossible. Colors either became over saturated or unnatural in tone. Also there was a sort of slight distortion to the image caused by the coating on the panel. I then began to just suck it up and realize this monitor is simply not engineered for color accuracy and clarity, but rather for hardcore gamers who need the insane response times. Later on, I upgraded to the Dell S2740L. This is a 1080p IPS monitor that immediately struck me with its level of clarity and color accuracy that was before me thanks to IPS technology. Unfortunately, at 27" along with the typical viewing distance of a PC monitor, the image really didn't have that crisp and sharp look that my Asus gave me. It...

2. great monitor, poor QC
-pro-
can overclock to 120hz

screen is amazing, never had to adjust the screen when viewing from different angles.

cheap relative to name brands

-con-
light bleed from the bottom left corner. Can see it in black screen.

one stuck pixel, 2 dirt pixel which didn't show up under the dead pixel test.

screen was off center to the frame. It sat like 2mm below the top frame, so you can see a gap.

flimsy stand that wobble when tap it. Not a big deal.

generic casing that's also used on other monitor, such as the monoprice, x-star.

Personally, I would rather had spend the extra money and buy the Dell. Yea, it cost more but you get peace of mind knowing there's a 3 yrs warranty and you can return it even with one single dead pixel or light bleed.

But then, I got this so I can overclock it to 120hz. If anyone got question, ask and I'll gladly reply back.

Great 1440p Monitor
This is a great monitor, hands down. Then, when you consider the fact that it is about half the price of any 1440p monitor you can buy in America, it really shows the value of this product. The actual screen is a slightly lower quality version of the same screen you would get from a 600$ QHD monitor, and although some of these supposedly ship with a few dead pixels, mine was perfect. It comes with the correct power converter for US outlets, and the power brick handles the power conversion very well. The DVI cable provided is of exceptional quality. The standard color calibration is pretty good, although I would recommend calibrating it. What else can I say, the stand is good and sturdy, it's just much better quality than you would expect.

The LG EA93 monitor makes multi-tasking super easy with its UltraWide screen and 4-Screen Split feature. You can divide your screen into 4 customizable segments making it simple to have the information you need right in front of you.
  • Wider than ever, UltraWide 21:9 makes movies and games more immersive. Trying to get some work done? The UltraWide screen makes it easy to view multiple documents at the same time, so you don't need to flip back and forth.^LG's Cinema Screen features an elegant, groundbreaking design that looks beautiful, on or off with its ultra narrow bezel.^IPS technology controls the liquid crystal display to help keep distortion at a minimum and allows users to view images on the screen at virtually any angle.^Get nearly double the pixel resolution of standard HD with Full HD 1080p Resolution.^The mega contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 delivers vivid colors and deep blacks.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. mixed feelings
the version they sent me is 29EA93-P model, (not sure what firmware)
The screen looks great, and games look fabulous.
But maybe I will send this back, because I have 6 dead pixels.
Also for no apparent reason the screen was refusing to turn on, even though all the cables were properly set.
I tried on another plug same result.
waited 2 hours tried again then it worked. so not sure what to make of it yet.
Also the screen is not adjustable in height which is a little bothering.

2. The start of a revolution
This is the best monitor I have ever owned. Hands down, if you are lucky enough to get the fixed V2 (which is all that they should be shipping now) then you have a near perfect balance of absolutely gorgeous lag free bliss.

Price is a bit steep but you absolutely get what you pay for, the onboard audio isn't bad even so you can easily use this to hook up consoles or watch movies on.

  • Bulit-100mm Vesa back

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good desktop monitor for Windows 8
Bought this to go with an Asus desktop running Win 8. I didn't want an all-in-one Touch system like the Dell XPS 27 inch which includes a higher resolution monitor than this one. Wanted to build my own desktop and wanted a lower cost alternative. The monitor has the several inputs (HDMI,VGA, audio, mic, USB hub, built-in full HD web cam with microphone). It is full HD (1920 x 1080) with a 60hz refresh rate. The refresh rate has trouble keeping up when using the touch screen for scrolling (lots of blurring during the scrolling) but otherwise a crystal clear picture with high touch sensitivity. Great for regular desktop work and viewing Blu-ray movies (not so good for standard def movies). By the way, Great customer support from Planar. Was able to quickly resolve a touch screen activation issue. They were easy to get a hold of and very courteous.

This monitor also has screw mount holes (VESA 100 x 100mm pattern) to allow to hang on a wall. The monitor comes with an...

2. I love it
I am using this monitor for my Windows 8 computer. I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8 and this was the perfect cost effective monitor. The only issue I have is that the screen tilts back because of the stand. It has a camera that is useless for Skype because it only show the top of my head.

OK for Windows 8
Pros:

- works with Windows 8 touch interface
- very big monitor, makes people jealous!
- DisplayPort connector
- wall-mount compatible
- includes USB and HDMI cables

Cons:

- glossy surface with high glare
- mediocre dot pitch
- very big monitor, need very long arms to use touch
- No DVI connector, and VGA connection looks bad. Use DisplayPort.
- doesn't come with DisplayPort cable
- camera doesn't point the right way unless you wall-mount it
- Included stylus does not work. Fingers required.

Neutral or haven't tried:

- HDMI connector
- audio

The ideal use for this monitor would seem to be video-based apps, such as a kiosk display with touch features. It's really not great for a main desktop Windows monitor. The pixels are borderline too big, so you'll want to move the monitor further away, putting it out of comfortable range for touch.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Glass like surface. Picture like plasma.
This was my first purchase of anything with a touch-screen with over a 7" screen. Also, my last Viewsonic monitor was just so-so. So, I had my doubts about quality and sensitivity. However, when I hooked it up to my new build, I was blown away by its picture and touch capabilities. One day I had several gnats in the room and they would flock to the screen. Just one gnat crawling on the screen causes it to scroll. So much for sensitivity being an issue.

I have a 55" plasma TV that is about four years old. It has stunning pictures. Until the led lit LCDs came along, LCDs were no match in picture quality with the plasma. Plasma sets have a glossy surface because they have a glass covering. They are not great in brightly lit rooms. Most touchscreens have glass or glass-like plastic. This display is the best that I have ever had in a monitor. The Toshiba TruBrite screens came close.

I purchased this to get the most out of Windows 8. W8 is designed...

2. Not good for Windows 8
this is advertised as a multi-touch monitor that is Windows 8 compatible--OK, any monitor works on Windows 8, but there is an extended bezel all the way around the screen, so you can't swipe in from the top bottom or sides, which is one of the most important touch features of Windows 8. I'm considering returning this, and waiting for some more options on the market.

1. The new monitor is here, the new monitor is here !
Sorry, I had to sound joyful, like Steve Martin in "the jerk"

I ordered this previously from Amazon Marketplace and was disappointed in receiving a refurbished unit from seller rather than an expected "new" unit. That unit was received with missing cables, and a display that could not reach its full resolution without the text becoming unreadable, despite using high end video cards and video cables.

But I worked with Amazon to get that unit returned and credited back.

Unfortunately I price had gone up again, but I "bit the bullet" as they say and reordered this unit from Amazon Direct this time around, and shipped with their Prime 2-day shipping option.

It has only been one day with this NEW display, and boy I am impressed. The colors, images, and text are bright, colorful, and completely readable at its highest resolution.

Knock on wood that I do not have any problems down the road, but I have to say I am...

ASUS VN279Q 27-Inch Screen LCD Monitor

Cheapest ASUS VN279Q 27-Inch Screen LCD Monitor

The ASUS VN series features compact dimensions this 27" display has a super narrow bezel of just 0.8cm, bringing a broader and better vision without compromising on style and comfort. Its pedestal boasts a sleek concentric circle design and the rear bezel comes with a textured finish that is scratch proof. The VN279Q is also VESA wall mount compatible, and has the capabilities to turn into a stunning multi screen solution.
  • Ideal for a multi-screen solution with a super narrow frame
  • Best for work and play with Full HD 1080p visual quality and 178° ultra wide viewing angle AMVA+ panel
  • ASUS VividPixel Technology for crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Works great for a VESA setup
There's not a whole lot of reviews on this unit (on the internet) and since I wanted something to replace my 27" monitor with a smaller bezel, this seemed like the perfect fit. Since the AMVA+ panels seemed to be getting good reviews from reputable message boards, so I decided to go out on a whim and get it.

First thing, there is a variable amount of burn in time for the unit, and even that said, it's not a great unit for someone that doesn't enjoy calibrating it to perfection. However when I got it to settings I liked I was very impressed with the color and viewing angles, something that plagued my old HP 2709m. It's light and moves when asked too by my monitor arms (Even though my arms say their rated for 22" monitors). Also, the bezels, it's crazy thin.

The only thing I'd say could be a con is that the front of the button panel seems to get very warm to the touch, but I don't really have my hands on my monitor a whole lot.

2. Great Monitors
These monitors are amazing, I got 2 and put them on a double monitor mount and the amount of real estate is amazing! plus they have a very small bezel that I barely even notice. they are super fast turning on and don't really heat up all that much if at all. the only problem now is that I have to turn my head looking from one side to the other... :)

A decent monitor, but not for all
Let me preface my review by saying I'm extremely picky with monitors. I used CRTs well into the LCD era because of the defects of LCDs and the reasons CRTs are superior to LCDs (response time, black levels, and so on). The first LCD I ever bought was an MVA panel Viewsonic, a nice screen but it had too aggressive of antiglare (AG) coating. I replaced that monitor with a 24" Samsung SyncMaster 244T. Perfection in a monitor. I used this monitor for many years, and this is the monitor the VN279Q had to beat to replace. I want to wall mount my screen and given the space I thought increasing the screen size a little bit might help.

Unfortunately basically all new monitors at this size are 16:9 be they 1920x1080 or 2560x1440. I strongly preferred the 16:10 ratio 1920x1200 on my 244T but was willing to get over this. I can say the aspect ratio does not bother me so bad, but sometimes things can seem especially wide compared to how they were on 16:10. This Asus VN279Q uses an AMVA+...

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. After calibration... It's the best I've owned
So, I have been waiting on a review of this monitor yet no one has took the plunge to buy it. I bought one from best buy. It wasn't on display but they had it in stock, so I said why not. They don't have restocking fees so I picked one up. I rushed home and unpacked it. Setup took less than 10mins. However one thing is important. You need the drivers either from the disc or from LG's site. Windows 8 doesn't automatically detect this display yet. It will give you a generic driver from 2006. Really Microsoft???

There's HDMI, DVI, and VGA connectors. It only comes with a VGA cable. The buttons for the OSD are touch sensitive. Yes, not actual buttons but touch sensitive. They are very accurate and don't take much effort at all. It has a very small dim red LED light under the LG logo which isn't at all distracting.

Moving on. I first used HDMI to hook up this monitor. I am not that much of a fan of using HDMI on my monitors due to color issues and slight lag with...

2. Really nice
I had 3 24" LG Flatron displays before this that I really liked but they weren't IPS and the color shifting was a bit annoying.

I then tried the ASUS VS239H IPS displays before finally settling on these 23" LG displays. The only reason I didn't go with the ASUS was because the bezels were just too thick. They are a great looking monitor, but the LG is down right sexy. When off, the LG displays appear to have an edge to edge screen and are much slimmer than the ASUS (because the power brick is external). Of course when powered on, the image doesn't go to the very edge of the bezel, but it's still not as wide as the ASUS. The displays have a red power indicatory underneath the logo and it's not super bright like many other monitors, it has a nice looking gradient effect from the middle outwards.

You'll also notice the nice brushed effect on the bottom face that looks great. These also have the touch sensitive controls.

Amazing screen quality. Plus very sleek design.
This is one awesome IPS monitor, I originally had a 23" Samsung LED one from best buy but that was a TN panel (not the best looking but cheaper to manufacture) that's why IPS panels cost more. The reason I returned that model was because the screen became very washed out, when I moved to a slightly different angle. I thought I could get used to it but a month later I realized I could't. My main TV is a Samsung and I love it, however there monitors are not quite up to snuff for me.

So I exchanged this one for the 27" LG IPS LED. Everything just pops more on this monitor, colors are bright, blacks are blacks, refresh time is amazing as well, and the best thing to me is no FRICKIN screen bleeding! (where yellow'ish light seeps into the image usually around the corners of the display.) It's very rare to find LED screens that have 0 light bleeding.

Now the on screen menu is not the most intuitive, however their is a ton load of settings that you are able to adjust...

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. I love this monitor it makes Windows 8 dance
Resolution is awesome. I have terrible eyes and the clarity is so refreshing I now hate all my other montiors. I use a two monitor set up and I keep dragging my stuff to my older high end NEC monitor and and makeing up reasons to replace it. Make sure you plug in the USB connection to enable the touch function.
The touch is surplative and the way the montiors moves and glides rocks. I can't say enough good things about it.

This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. QNIX QX2710 Evolution II review: Works for me.
I bought this monitor through Amazon from BuyCheckStore when it had no reviews yet, so I felt like I was gambling. I did some general research on the 2710 monitors and decided it was a good risk to get the pixel density that I've been missing since the days of CRTs.
I'm not the most critical reviewer of monitors and I'm not using this for raw photo files or any other critical work like that. I use it mainly for watching video, gaming, and daily office type work.

Pros:
Screen real estate: 2560x1440
My model appears to be pixel perfect when looking at red, green, blue, white and black solid backgrounds.
My model has no backlight bleeding that I could notice in a darkened room.
I prefer the matte version that I ordered, and I don't notice any dimness or color issues that can be associated with matte finishes, and the darkened window glare is barely noticeable. I'm not sure what the difference between it and the glossy version, but I'm happy with how...

2. Clear as a bell
I studied a bit to understand how this could be sold at a price so much less than other monitors of this resolution. The information that I gathered suggest that the internals of these monitors are considered to be of "seconds" quality from leading manufactures. Meaning that they may have a dead pixel or two, or possibly some light bleed. I have noticed no issues with the one that I purchased. The other issue is that this monitor only has one type of video connection. It's Duel- link DVI for PC. That is really the only thing you need because that connection is the only one that provides the proper output for this resolution without requiring the monitor to do some scaling operation.
As of right now, I am please with this monitor. I use it for video editing and the additional pixel area helps with my productivity.
