This Monitors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Decent monitor
I bought two of these at my local warehouse club to go on the left and right sides of my main monitor (you can never have too much screen space). They replaced a single several year old 24" LCD monitor (16:10 1920x1200). That monitor consumed ~100W while each of these is ~20W.

It does what they say it does. Sadly it is 16:9 instead of 16:10 but that is par for the course these days. It is very thin and the stand is nice. You cannot adjust the height.

It claims to have speakers, but I can't see where they would be and my attempts to get audio failed. (Edit: please see comments. It has volume control, not speakers.)

The control is wonderful - there is a little nub you operate under the centre middle. Contrast with a monitor they replaced which had unreadable black buttons on a black bezel, or even worse my main monitor which has numerous buttons around the back you have to operate by touch and constantly have to keep working out which is which...

2. No Height Adjustment
I purchased the Samsung S27C570H from a local "Big Box" membership warehouse today, who incidently had the best price, and because it was in stock, I was able to buy it and bring it home. This monitor replaced the 1080i HD 24" LCD monitor that came with my Gateway computer in 2006. Comparing the old monitor vs. this monitor, the first thing that I noticed is that the Samsung picture is not as sharp nor are the colors as good. I've tried adjusting everything and am not able to match the old monitor. The Samsung monitor does NOT have a height adjustment so I've got it sitting on some books to bring the height up to my straight forward line of site. This is the most irritating problem with this new monitor. The driver CD that came with the Samsung monitor has several other programs on it including the "MagicTune" program so that you can adjust the monitor settings without having to play with that dingle-dongle at the bottom center of the monitor. After loading that program and attempting...

Good monitor
No dead pixels but some backlight bleed in two places at the top of the screen.

To interact with the monitor, there is a toggle button on the bottom that you can kind of use like a d-pad. You move it to either of the 4 directions to change settings, etc. A little annoying that because of this interaction, turning the monitor off is a 3 step process. You have to click the d-pad in the center and then press the down direction to select the off option, and then click in the center again in order to shut off the monitor.

Overall, really happy with the monitor, it looks great and the preset settings were perfect.
